    Printing problems

I have just changed my desktop for a dell quadcore with ssd. I have word installed & when i go to print it opens up my printer properties, where i can change paper type size colour etc. When i open a picture from my pictures & go to print i just get a very basic print menu with no options for a lot of things Any ideas ??

Are you allowing Windows to select printer or have you set a default?

When I right click a picture and select print this is the window I get.

I don't use it, but that seems to be what you get from the Windows 10 "Photos" app.

If you open the picture using a different program, you'll get more choices. The "Paint" program, for example. When you use the "open with" feature (right click on the picture file), you can also set something other than Photos as the default app.

Later: after post 5, I checked. The print options in "Photos" are indeed scrollable. Including down to a "more settings" button. I hadn't noticed before. I rarely use Photos.

That is a standard dialogue box for an App like Edge, though you are missing the scrolling column on the left, you should be able to scroll down to "More settings".

It maybe just a case of an auto-hiding scroll bar. You waft the mouse pointer over where it should be for it to appear.(RH side of the drop down boxes).

To change that option you need to go to:
Settings > Ease of Access > Display > Scroll down to "Auto hide scroll bars in Windows" > Off.

In addition it looks like you need to re-install your Printer Driver.

Click on Options in blue in the lower rhs. This shows the Print Settings windows from where you can select Printer Properties and fiddle with the printer driver settings.
