    MBR or GPT Format

    Greetings,

Which is the recommended format to use on my new hdd? GPT or MBR?

As GPT always have extra partitions when install Windows 10. I don't really like to have these partitions on my hdd. If I use MBR format, will my other hdds (2 X 4TB) in GPT be available to use? Must I convert these GPT to MBR format?

    Thanks for reading.

I don't think MBR on the boot drive will have any effect on non-boot drives.

All disk drives can be MBR while the WIndows or boot disk drive is in GPT.
And vice versa. All disk drives can be GPT while the Windows or boot disk drive is MBR.

You really only need two partitions on a GPT Windows boot drive. A FAT32 EFI System partition and the NTFS partition for Windows. There is much debate about whether the tiny Microsoft System Reserved partition is required on a GPT drive, but I've never heard of a computer crashing because it was removed.
