Windows 10 1903 USB ports not working after update.

I was forced to install the latest update and instantly had issues. The USB ports wouldn't recognize anything.

When I plug in external hard drive they power up fine. I can use it but its showing that it has a driver error in device manager, if I plug in a thumb drive, or use my SD card reader, or my game controller they show up as well but they aren't usable at all. Also when I plug in my Tablet It shows up, and will let me access the tinny partition with the install software on it. But when I go to update the drivers I get an error saying drivers were found but unable to install.

While exploring folders I saw the drivers for the USB device was changed by the update. Every fix I've found hasn't worked. Please help. Thanks. Also there is no driver roll back, the options are all grayed out for that.
What I have tried so far, basics, turned system on and off, uninstalled all the drivers, uninstalled all the USB hubs and devices in device manager. Tried to update all the drivers for the devices and got the error above. I’m at my wits end at this point feeling very frustrated as I have no way to update my mobile devices that I used on a daily basis.

Thanks for any help I can get.

curious, as if your 1803 or 1809 build was up to date, there should have been a new prompt 'Download and install' to receive 1903.

If you don't click that, a feature update isn't applied until your build reaches end of life.

That's a new option which MS provided with a recent update for those builds even for Home users, who had, by virtue of having Home, agreed to receive automatic updates.

You can 'go back to the previous build' (a standard feature) within - by default- 10 days of upgrading.

Someone else may be able to suggest a way forward for you with 1903.

Note that assuming you received that via WUpdate, MS believes your system to be compatible with it.

Excuse me for my wedding, I wasn't forced this time, but when the update was pending it caused my system to get sluggish, that is often the first sign I get that an update is in the works :) So I checked to see if there where any major issues after a few days and then had it install.

Just a suggestion to try, I not sure it will help.
Enter the bios (delete key or f12 on Gigabyte boards)
enable usb legacy and disable secure boot.
if no effect you can change them back.

You might also check the Gigabyte support page for drivers, your board being newer.
Their installer might work to update

thomaseg1 , I looked though all of the bios options I could find using both f12 and delete keys, I couldn't find the options you mentioned, I'll do some more hunting latter, on other note I did try to do a roll back of the last update and it failed to happen no reason given just failed and back to status quo.

There are log collectors used in another forum.
