First try partition recovery with bootabale Partition Wiizard. Download version 9 from here https://web.archive.org/web/20150416...otable-cd.html

( In later versions Partition Recovery is not free)
    I keep getting that address blocked with this message in both Edge & IE - Cannot securely connect to this page {TLS issue, no option to continue}

    Any suggestions?

Added later - I managed to find a copy of [bootable, v9] Partition Wizard pwfree9.iso at www.it.nrru.ac.th/download/utilities/ and I created a bootable USB using Rufus.

@Try3, it sounds like to me that your internet browser settings need to be configured to allow you to browse the website. I have had this happen to me before. I had to check the TLS settings under Security in Internet Explorer to view a website once. Make sure that TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 are checked. It is under Internet Options in Internet Explorer.

TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 are already checked [they are checked by default]

@jumanji, or anyone who may be able to help. I am still having issues finding the lost partitions. There has to be a free software that I can download to recover them. I tried finding them yesterday and couldn't do so. Right now, I am using Minitool Partition Wizard 9. Please help. This machine is used for an embroidery machine and she needs all of her stuff back.

OK, @Jesse Williams , so far I had rightly or wrongly assumed your intention was to bring the laptop alive by restoring the partitions. Now you want data to be recovered.

Try booting into a Live Linux.

I have a write-up on Lucid Puppy here: Lucid Puppy way to recover files from a non-bootable computer - Windows 7 Help Forums

A cut and paste from that thread:

Edit 12 Oct 2015: The version of Lucid Puppy (Ubuntu Compatible Build) 5.2.8 ISO used here can now be downloaded from Long-Term-Supported WaryPuppy (LTS)

EDIT 28 May 2014.:UPDATE: The easiest way to create this bootable pen drive is to use Rufus http://rufus.akeo.ie/
See my post here: Is there any way of saving a completely unrecognisable hard drive?

Having done the above, straightaway go to the topic Recovering files from the non-bootable Internal Drive: in that thread.

Try and check whether it helps.

Somewhere in that thread I have said "( I had used Lucid Puppy to recover data only once and that one time I had to read my own guide when it came to copying from one drive to another .)"

@jumanji, I would really like both the partitions and the data restored. Restoring the Recovery Partition would help me repair it better, probably. This computer job for me has been a difficult one.

What happened to the snapshot you were going to post?

@jumanji, I believe I have found what I am looking for. I just need to figure out how to get it set up. I will post a snapshot of what I found. It has Windows listed. I changed the drive letter C, but it still won't boot. Any suggestions?

I forgot to post that. This computer has been a headache for me. It shows lots of partitions.

@jumanji, another problem with this computer is that the boot.ini file is corrupted. Maybe, if it wasn't corrupted, it would boot? I am letting it scan for Lost/Deleted Partitions again. Yes, I will post the snapshot this time.
