iPad wont show up in file explorer

I make art sometimes and I use both my PC and my iPad, so I need to sync them. I used to be able to sync my art from my iPad to my PC by plugging it in and pressing the iPad thing in file explorer, and I could do everything like normal. I wanted to move files from my PC to my iPad, and didnt see a way to do this (I've now realised you can email yourself...whoops) and I downloaded a program called Wondershare Tunesgo. This was a free trial because i didnt want to pay 60 pounds, and now the free trial is over i couldnt uninstall it. I had to manually find its' files because it had hidden itself and stuff, and now that I've removed it the iPad doesnt show up in file explorer anymore. My guess is the program changed the setting that allows that so I'd have to pay them to keep syncing, but i dont know how to enable that feature again. Can someone tell me how, please?

Hi Delta6k. Welcome to the TenForums @Delta6k

You could connect your iPad and then open device manager. It should be listed under Portable Devices.

Is it there? Are any other devices there. See if there are any hidden device under this category. Click view, then show hidden devices. I would delete hidden and any visible iPad devices.

    Then scan for new hardware.

Next I would try is installing iTunes. Will likely overwrite Wondershare changes and it will also likely place an Apple driver.

I've tried looking in device manager, and there wasn't a 'portable devices' option. I also looked under Universal Serial Bus Controllers and the Apple thing was there, so I know it's registered that my device exists. And I would install iTunes but last time I did this it corrupted my iPad, and the only way I could fix it was by wiping it completely.

That is interesting, iTunes is meant to connect devices to Computers.

Just to confirm, when you were in device manager you clicked show hidden devices and there was still nothing under portable devices.

You might be able to install iTunes, let it do its thing, uninstall and then connect iPad.

If you click on view there should be a heading - show hidden devices.

Wow, whatever Wondershare did it did it well. I was looking for an uninstaller but Norton reported some suspect sites.

Did you checked their site for an uninstaller?

Okay new idea. Open for comment.

Get yourself revo-uninstaller. Install it have have it running. Then re-install Wondershare product allow Revo to map exactly what is being installed where.

The use revo uninstaller to totally uninstall product.
