Well, I thought I'd share this one. I found the bg by googling images based on DUST 514. I think it made an awesome theme . I use the WIN10 Hidden Dark Theme alongside it to make it look even better. If you want that then just search for a pre packaged .reg file to apply it or simply apply via regedit. It shouldn't be needed for this though. .

Hi Rjmach you can download it here: Solved Windows 10 Themes created by Ten Forums members - Page 60 - Windows 10 Forums . You do realize, there are just some things that cannot be changed in Aero, like File Explorer? But this is the most readable color scheme I have yet created, specially when 3rd party software, and some internet sites(when using either IE or Edge), follow the system theme.
p.s. thank you for the compliment.
Thank you Cliff,
But you are more experienced on Win10 than I am. :)
It's been a while. Had some annoying upgrade issues, but that's over now.
I did a clean install recently so I'm finally back on track with Win10.
Are we talking about AeroLite/HC or Aero( default theme)?
Not much is changed, basically the same theming logic als in Win8 (though we got a way cooler interface now for sure!).
That dark text on light color reminds me of the desktop icon text that changes as well on solid backgrounds.
Glad to hear that: Orange is fine with me.It seems only yellow based colors and orange colors keep the black text.
Explorer is an exception with the color but it's the same in Win8; I couldn't find anything on this one either.
About the registry colors:
Isn't that the same as the colors added in the theme file itself? In case we wanna avoid the registry...
But this is for AeroLite/HC themes only. Theme (*.theme) colors should override the registry. Though I'm not aware of all the registry locations where UI colors are mentioned.
Sample from my daybreak.theme file:
Adding this in your *.theme should get the colors in place.Code:[Control Panel\Colors] ActiveTitle=138 41 8 Title=255 128 0 InactiveTitle=71 71 71 InactiveTitleText=35 35 35
I'll look more into it when I get some time; now that my install is fresh; all my AeroLite/HC themes made for Win8 work fine on Win10 - build 10586.
For the standard Aero theme we should still expect some unchangeable colors, though I see Shawn's Inactive Title Bar Color tweak as a next move in the right direction for theme customization. :)
For the moment I'm not using AeroLite: getting used with the standard theme as well which has nice thin window borders.
Cheers!
