How to Change or Customize System Tray Icons on Windows 10 - Appuals.com

That's where some of them are, and ite describes CustomiserGod.

If you wish to hack system files you can, one way or another, but any update that replaces them would lose that customisation, so you'd need to have it documented/ready to go should that happen.

(SFC /SCANNOW, an in-place upgrade repair install would replace modified system files too).

Any program that makes such modifications e.g. Resource hacker might help, provided you know how to replace the icons and what with.

I use Stardock Start11 which works well on W10 or W11 and has customizable taskbar controls.
It's not free though. See if you can find a free trial.

There's a 30 day free trial here- from Stardock
Stardock Start11: Restore the Classic Start Menu in Windows 10 and 11.

@Ex_Brit - could you post a screenshot showing its options to change those icons please? I don't see that described there as a feature. Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Neither of those do.

Note this question has been asked before. Please feel free to search tenforums.

    Beware:
