So, let's look at some colors . . .
How does this pink look?
What about gold?
Now, let's bold 'em.
How does this look?
And the gold.
Edit Not bad at all.

Eye problems anyone?
For most of my life, I've had problems reading my computer screen because of the brightness and light gray font presented. Finally, Microsoft and other companies have listened and we're beginning to have choices!
And, that's what this discussion is about! What is your solution? Or, like me, are you looking for multiple solutions?
To minimize screen radiation to my eyes, I use
1. Dark/black background themes everywhere possible
2. Flux PC app to dim my screen depending on the time of day / sun position.
3. Browser plug-ins to make web page backgrounds black / light text.
@Wynona
I use a basic non aero theme. Light not Dark.
Brightness of whites can be reduced using these:
Download Gamma Panel - MajorGeeks
Download QuickGamma - MajorGeeks
In addition Start> Run cttune.exe and follow all steps.
You can get interesting results using the font tools here:
Advanced System Font Changer - WinTools.Info
(Backup first)

Only works with basic non aero themes.

This is my worst horror:
Trying to see this color blue on a very dark background.
I'm sure there are other colors, but this one stands out the worst.
