For most of my life, I've had problems reading my computer screen because of the brightness and light gray font presented. Finally, Microsoft and other companies have listened and we're beginning to have choices!

And, that's what this discussion is about! What is your solution? Or, like me, are you looking for multiple solutions?

Definitely dark. Black theme for Chrome and the Dark Legacy skin here at the forum.

I use a basic non aero theme. Light not Dark.

Brightness of whites can be reduced using these:

Download Gamma Panel - MajorGeeks

Download QuickGamma - MajorGeeks

In addition Start> Run cttune.exe and follow all steps.

You can get interesting results using the font tools here:

(Backup first)

This is the kind of information I was hoping for, Callender! Let's not stop there, though.

This is my worst horror:

Trying to see this color blue on a very dark background.

I'm sure there are other colors, but this one stands out the worst.

What's really strange is that when you quoted, the blue is much more readable, but still strains my eyes quite a bit.
