Thanks, found 2 or 3 oddities about Start Menu X too e.g. if a top level folder I've created contains a shortcut, that folder takes on the icon of the shortcut, and clicking the folder launches the shortcut. That's wrong.
Search omits results in some cases that Classic Start menu does.
No way to open All Users vs Current user start menu folders (rt click on Classic SM and Startisback).

I'm still using Classic Shell 4.3 here..
Just found today someone has forked the source code, and built an updated version rebranded as "Classic Start". I just verified that it works on the latest Win 10 insiders build v17713.rs5.

When it installs it also has a new program files folder called "Classic Start", but I just selected my current "Classic Shell" folder and it overwrote the current ones. It also still has the Classic Explorer component too.
Note: When it installs, it will start with fresh/default settings, but it does work to import the settings files exported from the original Classic Shell Start and Explorer components.
Hi, and welcome to Tenforums. There is a whole discussion of this over here, if you would like to look and join in. Been going on for a few weeks...
