Odd thing, I can't see a related process, or any 'Exit' option or way to stop it running.

Bug? Searched for Autoruns, found, rt click and "Run as admin" => error failed to find...
This is OK in Classic Shell s.m.
Control Panel - Start Menu - Advanced - Disable

Thanks, found 2 or 3 oddities about Start Menu X too e.g. if a top level folder I've created contains a shortcut, that folder takes on the icon of the shortcut, and clicking the folder launches the shortcut. That's wrong.

Search omits results in some cases that Classic Start menu does.
No way to open All Users vs Current user start menu folders (rt click on Classic SM and Startisback).

Yes but the people running the insider version are telling us that support for CS will go away very soon if someone doesn't update CS to be compliant. This is what the discussion is about here yes CS is still running on 1803 17134.137

Updated version rebranded as Classic-Start - Works on latest win Build

Just found today someone has forked the source code, and built an updated version rebranded as "Classic Start". I just verified that it works on the latest Win 10 insiders build v17713.rs5.

GitHub - passionate-coder/Classic-Start: Reborn of Classic Shell (Ivo Beltchev) - Classic Start (passionate-coder)

When it installs it also has a new program files folder called "Classic Start", but I just selected my current "Classic Shell" folder and it overwrote the current ones. It also still has the Classic Explorer component too.

Note: When it installs, it will start with fresh/default settings, but it does work to import the settings files exported from the original Classic Shell Start and Explorer components.

Hi, and welcome to Tenforums. There is a whole discussion of this over here, if you would like to look and join in. Been going on for a few weeks...

    Thanks - 3 good choices.
Heard about classic shell, but thought it 4.3.3 would still be ok.
Hi. Do you mean version 4.3.1? I don't see any rev higher than that.

Classic Shell is the best, IMO.

Double ..... and 4.3.1 is where Ivo cut it loose to Open Source, and Passionate-Coder now has the Classic Start (Shell) up to 4.4.118, I think.
