    Difficult to explain problem

    I reinstalled Windows (Fall Creators Update 1709), and I'm sure this wasn't the case before. As you can see, on the E: drive the text below how much space is free is not shown like for the other drives, presumably because the name is too big and pushed to two lines, but this wasn't the case before, and I think the culprit is this huge space left of the icon within the highlight rectangle. As far as I understand it, for some reason the icons aren't left aligned, making the space for the name shorter, leading to the problem. This is set to "Titles" view.

    Anyone can confirm that their icons are properly left aligned (no space left of icon), and any suggestions on how to fix this?

    No, in 1709 an icon-sized space was added to the left of the drive icon, apparently it's intended to be used for some sort of 'cloud sync' indicator. All installs of 1709 look like this, I'm afraid.

    Edit: apparently by design, seem the space is reserved for OneDrive Files on Demand icons, see post #21 in the above thread.
