Mikey! Mystery solved with the Kyhi internet. Just a quick manual step. Thru the Start Menu/Control Panel, wiggle yourself to Device Manager. Click Show Hidden Devices in View. You'll see a whole bunch of devices with the yellow triangle, Lan is one of them. Right click and Update Driver. It will tell you drivers need to be re-installed. Make it happy! Give it a few seconds and the tray icon will go to yellow, then clear-up. I tested by firing up FF, and it connected fine!

Presumably the update doesn't persist between sessions.

No, it does not persist. Have to do it each time. The driver RT640x64.sys is in the thumb drive windows\system32\drivers folder, but I don't know why it's not loading it. It's a Kyhi question.

I can get connected to the internet, using WiFi ...(had to turn my WiFi on in router) than choose it after booted in the recovery app. So I got it working on WiFi. Will try your method next. Been in and out of my bios too. maybe done 30 reboots playing with this darn issue.....

Bob did you get that iso from TC tonight? If you did, did it boot with internet access?? Mine booted fine, but no internet.
To connect to network, use PENetwork (shortcut on the desktop)

Yes I can but the DVD drive is not listed so I can't set it as first.
Sometimes you have to turn secure boot off and enable Legacy in order to see the optical drive as an option.

    Something's wrong, then.

BTW, I just downloaded the thing y'all are getting. Now I need to burn it to either a flash drive or DVD. I haven't burned to DVD since I learned to do my ISOs for new Windows 10 Builds.

Will Rufus work for this? Or are there instructions on KiHi's site?
Yes, Rufus will work, but it isn't necessary, as you can just copy the files over to a flash (so Kyhi says - although sometimes I find I must use Rufus).

Maybe I'll try again later, right now I'm tired of rebooting 35 times in last 2 hours...
