i was victim of ransom i think. earlier last month. i installed a program called cloudapp...right after it installed, pc shut down, rearranged whole OS. couldnt access log in screen etc. do not trust them
Depending on the version there is no fix for it. Some places have released decryption keys & software that may/may not prevent it or undo the damage. But the best prevention is to prepare ahead for the worst.

I don't think you can with Windows Imaging. You may be able to with Macrium.

Not sure, I believe so but would need to check.

You can also use kado's suggestion, I myself have no experience with Macrium, but many people here use it.

I had a quick google kado & the result is hazy if you can make a system image on a FD. I don't see why not, but there could be limitations. Since most FD's are FAT32, that could be a problem. You can format them to NTFS though, just saw an article on that. It might work then.

Someone can check that out, I have to get going & get stuff done, my Wife has a doctors appt in a bit.

You all take care & have a good day.

You can image to FAT32 drives, but the images will be in chunks of 4GB.

Look at this: @Chuck38 needs to see this!
