They are still selling Windows 7 PCs. This desktop came with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed. In the box there was two install CDs. One was a Windows 7 Pro and the other one was a Windows 10 Pro. Just for memory sake I played around a little with Windows 7 before installing Windows 10. I deactivated my Windows 10 Pro insider on my other computer. Tomorrow I'm going to move the Insider SSD to this computer. I'm going to dual boot the OEM version of Win 10 Pro and the Insider version of windows 10 Pro on the PowerSpec and the HP Pavilion is going back to the OEM version of Windows 10 Home. My Insider build is a new full retail version so I'm hoping it will activate without having to call MS.
Definitely! :) I have three of them that was in my HP Envy. I'm going to get the OEM setup first. Then I'm going to clone it to the SSD that had my RTM Install. The second one has the Insider build that I just I just upgraded from a full retail version of Windows 10 Pro. The third one is either going to be for my files and downloads or it's going into my laptop. The GPU is going to have to wait. This wasn't the best time for my HP Envy to die on me.
Yes but I've seen an announcement several days ago that Microsoft has stopped shipping Win7 and Win8/8.1 but sales of merchandise already in the stores can still be sold along with computers with those versions installed that are already on the shelves. That's been pretty much standard practice for a number of years and through several versions.
Far Cry 3 was FREE last week together with 6 other games from UPlay.
If you are interested, the Assassin's Creed 3 and Grid are still FREE. The Grid giveaway is about to expire in just over a day.
