They tend to stick "Gaming" moniker tot too many things. Every PC can be used for gaming, just depends which games. Keyboards have to be durable but that also goes for a lot of typing. Mouse, fast and accurate but that's also good for drawing etc. Monitors, high res and fast but that's also important for watching movies. Although might be useful for other things, only joysticks and joy pads are specifically for gaming. Good headphones or speakers are even more important for listening to music.

Not so much bells and whistle, but rather "geared towards gaming". That said, I've yet to see where any SSD/NVMe drive made that huge a difference in gaming over other SSDs or HDDs outside of faster load and transition times.

That's my point as well. Anyway, as one who is a serious gamer, I get it; I just feel like a lot of this is snake oil

All that said, @Hemimax, enjoy your new toy, and let us know how it works out

The plan was for a video card (well you know) so my son said to try M.2, it would upgrade my old Intel SSD. He was right, may not be 12X faster but it certainly is 6X, it almost makes Windows pop faster than my eyes can recognize. Cold boot is 13-14 seconds and I stopped using Sleep instead of Hibernate because there is no difference, even Edge has a noticeable change. Will see what happens with gaming but so far it works as promised.
I think Intel Optane would even be even better but they are PCIe 3.0 or you sacrifice your video lanes.

Nope TC my Samsung M.2 NVMe drives are faster and made better to my liking.
Also not a big fan of Seagate drives.

I have the Bose NC 700 Wireless headphones. Absolutely love them. And the fact they can be used for phone calls is even better. Also still have my Bose QC 25 wired headphones.

    Enjoy your new headphones
