Maybe some day I will learn how to use it all... lol
I have absolutely no desire to go down that path. I'd be (really) old and grey by the time I learn enough Visual Studio to write even the simplest App for IoT. I still think it was a good idea for Microsoft to do it, I just don't have the skills to use it to its full potential. It's a lot of work to do anything with it. Adding it to noobs is a good idea though. Creating the SD Card was a PITA in the past.

The last couple of times I tried it out hat about all I did was "look at it", lol.

Page 199, lol. I see a "The Raspberry Pi Thread[3}" appearing in the near future.

Something new and exciting needs to happen so I can get back into Pi stuff again. Not being able to buy some more new stuff is slowing me down too, lol.
Christmas is coming up, so that will help.

I know we are not really into networking and cloud storage computing but this would be nice setup if one was into it ,

Cool stuff. Small footprint single board computers have really changed things for hobbyists. It used to be, you'd take your old retired desktop PC, chuck a bunch of hard drives in it and make a file server. Then hide it in the closet etc. Now its just the one small box, the size of your cable box. Or smaller if you use thumb drives etc. And not hidden away.
A friend of my step daughters, better half, works at the college and has a Samba server setup using a Pi. He's does IT type stuff there. When I talk about the sense hat and GPIO, he gets that deer in the headlights look though, lol.
With my XBOX Gold subscription I get 100 GB of storage in my OneDrive, I have yet to really use. I may upload my music to it so I can more easily play it on my XBOX but that's about it. I just don't have stuff I need to store in "the cloud". My cloud or their cloud, lol.

Same for me ,I have all kinds of files and pictures and music stored on old laptop drives and DVD's but I could care less if I lost it all next week ...it just clutter ,but having said that it would have been nice if I had stored it all in one place ,many years ago I found info on building a NAS box ,downloaded the Freenas software ,and that was it ....
