    Thanks.. I hope so too.
a question.. Do you know of any windows firewall that dont use windows own firewall and that also has the function... ask before allow/block network access?
as windows firewall dont block windows OS from going online.
I tested that in the former last post to win, where i said you can not block windows update in the firewall. *LOL*
None that I've used, I just stick to the Windows firewall. But a quick Google finds that there are a lot of alternatives to choose from.

    Evening Andre.
I'm just going by the BBC weather forecast, which goes out as far as the 27th with little change in store. (how accurate it is, I can't say)

it was most security suites.. tinywall was just a gui for windows built in firewall. and as windows firewall sucks that one was out.
Comodo seems to be its on thing as it learn user behavior to deliver personalized protection.. it should not learn it should be dumb and ask every time no mater what i have said 10times before. *LOL*
and glasswire seems to be a ten in one tool..
darn i miss windows 98SE/2000/XP and the Sygate firewall pro 5.0
Software was better in the past when you would have one firewall, another antivirus and a third something.. today is everything about suites and all in one.

They really make it hard to be able to go back to windows solution.

But Thanks for taking your time to look around.

One that caught my eye while googling was SimpleWall. You might like to take a look....

GitHub - henrypp/simplewall: Simple tool to configure Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) which can configure network activity on your computer.

I dont think that one will work if you disable/rip out windows firewall.
1MB big file for a firewall.. sounds more like a gui for windows own functions.. and as we now that can not block windows update and windows OS.
If you click block, the OS should die like you pull the network cable

    Edit
To bad this one dont work to windows
GitHub - evilsocket/opensnitch: OpenSnitch is a GNU/Linux interactive application firewall inspired by Little Snitch.
Its like the old sygate firewall.
