Morning Borg. That is quite the bill, hopefully there is some tax break. We get a break up here but it is no where near the break it should be, especially as we have state sponsored medical.

1999, that is amazing Mike. Getting on 25 years and I bet it runs like it was new.

Yes, mostly a few showers for me.

I'm off to entertain the grandchildren this weekend, keeping them out of their dad's way so he can get on with some serious DIY, assembling flat-pack furniture. Looks like it will be damp there too, the entertainment will have to be the indoors variety
Someone told me this a few years back, they said if you assemble any furniture you have to put together, get some good glue & put that all along the seams of where the wood meets. I've done that for a while now & so far everything has held together pretty well considering most of that stuff is made out of press board.

My Wife wanted us to get a glass top for the TV stand, I said no way. Seen too many pics posted of those things just spontaneously breaking for no reason.

    Morning Ken.

Well, I'm guessing you guys up there don't have to pay as much as we do down here.

It's nowhere near what it should be here either. Your med bills have to exceed 7.5% of you gross adjusted income, if it does that, then you can start deducting things. But there's a lot of variables involved, so I've read. So just gave our stuff to the accountant, & he'll call me & I'll see what needs to be done.

Yep, it added up fast when Medicare stopped paying 100% for the skilled nursing, they were we still paying, but we had to pay $200 a day, so $6K per month for about 3 1/2 months. (They only cover 20 days at 100%, after that the other 80 days you have a co-pay. Then after the 120 days, it's all out of pocket for your part.)

I don't know if you can do it in your state, but in some states if a car is over 25 yrs old you don't have to pay for tags anymore & you get a classic license plate.
