Well, fortunately I have a UPS but that still doesn't put my mind at ease when I'm doing a BIOS update.

I remember those days years ago when you had to put it on a floppy, make sure the weather was stable & hope the power didn't glitch while you were doing that.

I've done a bunch of firmware updates in the last week, Canon, HP, Asus, Dell (x2). With the laptops if it craps out they give you instructions right on screen to recover. Not like the old days.


Building a little box and shelves where all my services enter house and where I terminated my lan drops. My cable provider has set an ultimatum, covert to our new IPTV system or stop watching TV. Guess it is time to move with the times.

Evening Ken. We had to switch to IP TV boxes years ago.

Evening Andre. They have been trying hard with us. A lot of people just keep delaying, me included.


We shall see how this all goes in the near future.

I sincerely think that IP TV is better service, taking all in the account.

OK you need that TV boxes, but you can also watch it on any computer, or tablet, or phone.. if you want

My coldest morning for a while now too, but nowhere near as cold as yours. My overnight low was -3°C/27°F, with high 40's expected this afternoon.
