Well it looks like we may not have to build a ramp.

The city just called, they said that they could allow a stair lift sticking slightly into the street under a "encroachment agreement", so what that involves is they'll have to have a lawyer draw up some documents, I'll have to pay between $100 - 250, then I come down, sign some papers, pay the bill & then the stair lift can be installed.

So that's some good news if it all goes through. In actuality a stair lift would be a lot more practical then the ramp, which would have to start 32 feet from the house in order for that to work & it would still have to be a bit steeper then the normal ones are.

The stair lift will actually be a bit more expensive, tween 13 - 15K, but a lot more practical then a ramp I think.

Sounds like a good plan Borg. Hope it'll work out for the best.

She's coming along thanks, foot is healing up, slowly but healing.

I think the stair lift is probably going to be better then a ramp. At least she can get right to the car at the bottom.
