Evening Marie, at least you'll have long hours of daylight by then.....
My first show of the season is Brooklands in March: Brooklands Museum :: Mini Day 2024I'm glad to hear you got a few more trips with the mini before the bad weather.
Its soon spring again, so no worry
I always go, but the weather can be a bit variable, I got sunburnt one year and saw snow on another. There are plenty of museums there so always something to see even if the weather isn't at its best.
Looks like my chances of any real snow this year are fading rapidly.....We have had a real winter this year with snow.. so i am really really happy and everyone around me hate it. *LOL*
I keep the mini in the garage and the 'day car' has to sit on my drive in all weathers, I don't really have the room for another. But if I did, I know what I'd like to do with it. It would be a 'sleeper' - innocent on the outside, comfortable luxury on the inside, and hidden power under the bonnet. Oh, and a 5-speed box for long distance cruising would be niceI would actually become disappointed if you tuned your mini to 200HP.. your car is a nice classic in original condition, so that one should stay original all the way.
But you can always get another one and rebuild that one to a classic Rally Mini and then tune it up to 200HP, as then it is okay if the car becomes the devil itself as it has the Rally look. *smiling* *smiling* yeah i can imagine the mini is fast from the lights, as you have absolutely no weight in that small car.
Horsepower dont mean jack if the car is to heavy.. weight kills horsepower's... I think topgear had an episode where they should make a Renault something to become fast on their track and with only a small budget.. and in the end they stripped the car on almost everything and that made the car faster then everything else they did on that car.
Yeah, it's not too bad here, just some standing water on the roads and deep puddles in the usual places. But I'm on the top edge of the Yellow Warning area for the South.
