Good morning/afternoon everyone, I hope you had a good time over the festive season.

I'm home now after spending Christmas with my daughter and grandchildren. Boxing day was dry and bright, a perfect day for a walk in the park, and for the grandchildren to try out their new bikes and roller-blades.

Gloomy, foggy and lots and lots of rain. Thankfully it is warm. If this had hit with freezing weather it would have been a very significant snow storm.
    Morning Ken

Hope you had a good Boxing day.

The temps are nice for this time of year, better then alternative of ice/snow/sleet.

Glad the temps were warm enough you got to watch the kids play. I seem to remember a couple Christmases getting something like a new bike but couldn't go out to try it because of snow.

    Morning Borg.

Yes, we were lucky with the weather, Boxing Day was the only dry day over the festive season.

My grandson had outgrown his old bike, so he got a new one for Christmas. My granddaughter had outgrown hers too so she got his old one, with a new bell and tassels on the handlebars to make it more 'hers'. She was the one who got the roller-blades though, so it wasn't all 'hand-me-downs' for her

Morning Borg. Hopefully this wetness will let up in time for your contractor to start. It is really soggy here.

Sounds like you had some great family time with them.

Oh yeah, & the other Christmas spoiler, when something required batteries & they weren't included.

One classic moment of that was when we were still in the UK & for Christmas I got Thunderbird 5 (That completed my collection). It, unfortunately, didn't have any batteries so had to wait a day to see it work.

Hopefully all will go well with that. (Knock on wood).

My Wife's been using the exercise bike I got her, one of the small ones that goes under the desk. I hope it's helping. Her left foot kept falling out of the stirrup because it's weak, so now when she uses it I have to wrap packing tape around that slipper. It's a bit weird but it works.
