Hello!

I post this to help other fellows with the same issue. I recently subscribed to Vodafone TV which allows a selection of HBO movies and full access to Disney+ streaming service. Of course, I didn't like that Vodafone TV works only on android devices (and select TV models), I wanted to watch it on my PC. Disney+ can be watched on a browser or through the Disney+ app for Windows 10/11, so no problem here. I am familiar with Bluestacks Android emulator and I have used it in the past to play some Android games on my PC, so naturally I started Bluestacks, loaded Google Play Store and downloaded Vodafone TV from there. Before I could celebrate there was a nasty message "Vodafone TV cannot run on rooted devices". Bluestacks is rooted by default, so I thought I could just disable root to make Vodafone TV work. No way. Nothing I could try worked. A big frustration here...

A little Google search later and I discovered another Android emulator, called MEmu Play. So I downloaded and installed it. This is not-rooted by default, so this time no nasty error messages, I could login to Vodafone TV and watch whatever content I wanted on my PC. You can even match your display resolution (such as 1920x1080) in settings and then switch to full-screen mode for better experience!

So my fellow posters, if you have any Android application or game that doesn't like Bluestacks (such as the game Fruit Bump) or doesn't work on rooted devices (such as Vodafone TV for Greece), use the Android Emulator Memu Player instead.
