Anyone know a real fix to stop Edge from hi-jacking my pdf's. Tried the site permission fix, which does not work.

On my system I get the hi-jack and then I can't even open a file. I reboot and set default again.

Seems like no way to stop this intrusion.

So far it has been very good. Got our taxes filed, cleaned up some paper work and took another stab at understanding OneDrive.

Yep good enough weather so far to bring my bobcat to mothers so I can drive some post in the ground for a doggie fence.

Uninstall edge will solve the problem
Isn't there a setting over common apps in settings to what program that should open different files.
I dont have my win10 VM on so i can look, but i do remember i saw a setting for that.
also if you right click on a PDF file and "open with" there should be possible to choose default program... and there is one more.. but where was that one... *thinking*

The problem is that Edge has a nasty habit of undoing that and setting itself as the default. Now I wouldn't want to accuse MS of dodgy practices but edge is heavily integrated into the OS.

Okay.. I have removed Edge from my win10 VM.. I got allergic to MS-browser back in XP when they got sued for integrate Internet explorer.. so they had to undo that.. and now they doing the same again with edge.. So from pure bad-MS point of view i would not use edge even if it was the best out there on the market.

    Edit
I have heard many talking about MS changing back settings and register hacks and scheduled activities.... So i have started thinking of making a script to run after every update just to restore all tweaks..

Afternoon Mike. One minute it rains here and the next it snows. A real pull of war between the seasons.
Well it looks like I'll be getting some of your weather here later tonight, rain at 1st then changing to a mix of snow and rain. LoL It don't matter much, the ground is too warm here for anything to stick.
