    Good day everyone.

    Cold and bright here.

Excellent news Borg. I know you still have questions but it sure sounds like positive news.

I think the rule for this thread was no useful information. Wasn't it? LOL

I'm always asking for useful info and it is provided without question. So it is a rule we don't follow.

So here is a small reason to stay current. That PC I was working on making wireless, we use an old fob but it would not see fibre modem. Bought a very nice modern ASUS USB-AX65 antenna and the driver would not install, only Win 10 and Win 11. Tried getting driver only from Asus and it is bundled in a setup routine that fails. Used a temporary wire, he is online. Even got his printer running again.
Good afternoon Ken, its grey and cold here today no sun all day ....temp is 40°F

Been trying to find a Apex Z790 motherboard for my next build ....everyone is out of stock on them. Might have to wait for the end of this month before there restocked.

2 places have them now ...but want 400 bucks more than its actual price.

    Afternoon Mike.

Don't feel bad. They will be over $600 here in Canada.

Which generation of processor are you targeting?

I also started pricing out new system and everything including case was out of stock. I think the manufactures are keeping supplies tight so they can justify the price increase.

as it is 21:41 local time here, so i respond with Good evening.

Here it is dark outside.. not so cold.. only 25,52F (-3.6C) and it's snowing a bit.

So in theory both useful and un-useful information goes then... Good to know. *LOL*

if you can log in to the fiber modem.. check so 2.4GHz is active if you have an old wireless card that don't do 5GHz
Edit, i must say, i have never seen a fiber modem that has wireless router/access-point though
