I think so, Mike. Doc thinks so. Just takes a lot of care, slow care, for a 22" incision. That's not all surface cut, some is internal, but all connected it's 22". Hard to believe, I know.

    Good evening Wisewiz,

welcome to LOTPW, perhaps the most important signidicant....
... well, it may at least be able to claim to be one of the longest running thread on TF.

I decided I wanted a laptop that meets the W11 specs (to run alongside the rest of mine that don't).

My detailed plans for OS installation, configuration, software transfer (of my portable apps), and installation could be written on the back of a postage stamp.

    • image the old one
    • restore to the new
    • get it upgraded to 11

The most complicated bit was transferring a Legacy/MBR install to a UEFI/GPT machine. I clean installed W10, then replaced just the C: partition with the one from the image - job done.
