I got about 2.7GB of updates when I did the upgrade from 8.1 to 10. It's a lot but heck.. it's a new OS.
Yes, so did I when I upgraded. What I meant was just doing the normal updates from the past two weeks took almost 500 Mbs on W10, where as W7 on my laptop, which I last updated a month ago was 192 Mbs and W8.1 Pro on my PC was 189 Mbs.

Mornin' HG. Doing just fine. Nice and cool here this morning and it looks like sunny day ahead of us.
That's good. Cloudy and grey day here for us. High of 68° is all.

How much data are you allowed per month? I wouldn't even know how much we eat up for it's unlimited and not metered. This PC, 1 lappie, 2 smart phones, and a pad. It's got to be quite a bit.

Still nothing compared to the "old days" of dial up. Be glad we got the net speeds we do now.

I have 10 Gbs a month to use and for every Gb I go over it's an additional $15, so I always keep it under. But with all these large updates it really sucks up the data and I have to really cut back by the end of the month.

Does your plan allow unlimited data during off hours, like 2AM to 6AM?

Don't yuk, I have 7 - 12 Mbps d/l. That's the best I can get around here & I'm happy with it. Well, not really but then what choice do I have.....LOL

Still, beats the hell out of 56k when it took an average of 38 mins to d/l a single song & that was only if someone didn't call & interrupt the d/l, if they did, it was back to square one....

Nope. I could have that option if I switched to a satellite provider. I would need to have the house wired up to do that, so I'm still thinking about it.
