    How do I maintain a micro-usb cable?

I posted here because I dont exactly know which section it really goes to, so whichever admin/moderator see this, if not here, please move it where it should be (except in the trash lel)

My android phone is a samsung galaxy s7, and it uses a micro-usb port to charge it up/data-transfer and stuff. every night before I go to bed, I check the battery meter on my phone, and if it gets to the low double digits (10% to 20%), I plug it into the phone charger. Now I have gone through a number of cables that I think are approaching the double digits, all because eventually, the little hook-nubs that keep the cable secured in the phone either wear out, or get so pushed inwards that the entire thing can slip out with the lightest of touches, and im getting tired of that. So my question is this: how can I extend the life-cycle of whatever usb cable I use to charge my phone/transfer data from it so it lasts longer than a year, or is that nothing more than a foolish pipe-dream?

There was no doubt that you post here. This is Windows 10 forums. not Android Forums.

The internal USB port is probably the culprit. You need to send your phone on an service center to fix that.

FYI: I've had the same problem with all micro usb cables that I've ever used. Typically the ones that come supplied with the product.

So hold the plug when removing and not the cable. Plus try to keep alignment when plugging in or out.

The solution would be to invest in a more sturdy cable. I cannot recommend one.
