Welcome to the Ten Forums Saturday Live Chat!

Fellow geeks, Ten Forums & Windows 10 enthusiasts:

This is an open invitation to the next TenForums Saturday Live Chat on Saturday 22nd of August 2015.

The TenForums.com is truly a global community with members from allover the world. This makes it of course a bit difficult to find a time which would suit as many members as possible. It can't be a working day, Sunday is also not too good for some it would be too late in the evening on the work day's eve. Basically, Saturday is the safest bet. Even it still leaves the issue about the time, to find a time of the day when as many members as possible could at least shortly pop in to meet fellow members and chat.

Due the above mentioned, the next TenForums Saturday Live Chat will therefore have this schedule:

    information   Information
The online chat will be held on Saturday 22nd of August in three parts. Part 1 should allow the members from Asia and Oceania to participate, Part 2 should be OK for the European members and the Part 3 for our American members. You can of course participate in all three sessions and select multiple answers in the poll above if you so wish, it's just that spreading the chat throughout the day like this, the more members have a realistic possibility to be there.

The recordings of all three parts will be posted in this thread Sunday 23rd of August.

The chat will be online 30 minutes before the start time of each part for you to test the connection, and will remain online as long as there are attendees, at least two hours for parts 2 & 3 and one hour for part 1. A link to each live chat session will be posted here in this thread 30 minutes before the start of each part.

See this tutorial for instructions in joining the live chat using the Lync Windows App as a guest if joining from Windows 8 or later: Lync App - Join an Online Meeting as Guest - Windows 10 Forums

If you will join using Windows 7 or older or any other OS or do not want to install the Lync App, see this Microsoft support article for instructions in joining using the Skype for Business Web App: Join a Skype Meeting with Skype for Business Web App

Notice that whichever of the two above mentioned apps you use to join the chat, you will not need any Skype, Skype for Business, email or MS Account. Simply select a screen name for you and join. It would be nice if everyone would use their forums username :).

You can of course join using the Lync or Skype for Business desktop apps if you have an organisational Lync Account. Please remember that in that case your personal information will be available for and seen by all participants. I recommend to at least disable your contact card showing the phone numbers. As far as I know there's no way to disable showing your account name, avatar and email address when joining with your Lync account.

See you geeks on Saturday the 22nd! Please post all your questions, ideas and such about the Live Chat in this thread.

    Note   Note
Please, if you read this post, be active enough to answer the poll!

I am going to try to make it to the 3pm US time slot. I would like to see for the live demo a lessen on how to use layers in a graphics program. I need to insert a picture of the insider watermark 10525 into my sig pic. Kinda like how the good guys put the fng badge in a persons sig. I use the free paint.net but just can't figure it out. Maybe a good photoshopper could make a guest appearance sometime. See ya sat. A toast to good times and good health. Charlie

Hey, Charlie . . . FYI, Kari's excellent with Adobe Premier Pro, so he's prolly a good photoshopper too. :)

The Part 2 tomorrow will start with about 20 minute live demonstration about how to use Sysprep in relocating the complete Users folder with all existing and future user accounts to another drive to save space on C: drive. I will show both ways to do this, for a clean install while installing and for an existing Windows 10 installation. Demonstration follows the guidelines told in this tutorial: Users Folder - Move Location in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Please see the first post in this thread for the start time for the part 2 in your local timezone. If you are not interested in this live demonstration, you can join the chat first about 20 minutes its announced start time to skip the "boring" demonstration :)

@Kari, I'm glad you posted about Lync and Skype apps, I almost forgot to reinstall them... Now I just HAVE TO finally get a headset with a mic tomorrow morning, being I haven't had much time this week(Yeah, I'm a procrastinator, but sometimes that pays off).
