64 bit "may' be an advantage on an 8 gig Pi 4B. But not really worth it, IMHO, for a Pi 400 with just the 4 gig of RAM. Especially if your going to want to install and run addons / hardware that only support 32 bit.

Be careful how you plug things into the GPIO on the Pi 400, make sure you get Pin 1 on Pin 1 etc. Also easy to get one pin off left or right, which could be very bad.

Your going to want to use your Pi 400 Flat Hat Hacker board to attach a Pi TFT or other display like a Sense Hat. If you don't it ends up facing away from you, and upside down.

Yeah, I noticed that it had a bit to much space leftover on each side of the 40pin connection to do just what your warning me to be careful of . thanks for the heads up! still haven't tried the flathat hacker ,I do have it plugged in with 2 phats in it but haven't booted it up..but will very shortly ,watching golf right now :)

lol, just noticed a typo in my post. I typed Dense Hat instead of Sense Hat.

Might want to test all the keys on your Pi 400. They had issues with keyboard quality when it was first released. I had to have my first one replaced because of a faulty keyboard. I'm pretty its not an issue these days but couldn't hurt to check. You don't want to find out after your return period is over you have a bad key.

I'd say its a good choice if you plan on using a nice sized screen on it.

There were some issues with the Cyber Deck Hat and Pimoroni's Hyperpixel, just so you know. Had to do with the extra componenets added for the Stemma / Qwicc connectors. A very unique situation IMHO, seeing as how the Hyperpixel uses all the GPIO pins. It was posted on the Adafruit forum. All the PiTFT stay away from the i2c pins so as far as I know they aren't an issue. They work fine on the Cyber Deck. I don't own one, not yet anyway.

Had the soldering iron in use today. I finally got around to making use of those Perma Proto Boards I got from you. I soldered a female PICO header on one, and PICO orientated male headers on the other two. Then wired them up to SPI, one uses CE0 and the other CE1. Pi PICO on one and Pico Display Packs on the other two. That's the plan anyway. I have one Pico Display Pack V1 and one V2. And plans to order another V2.
The new "in the works" unifying driver works just fine on the V1 Display pack in landscape and portrait. No so good on the V2 Display pack though. landscape is fine but portrait is all garbled. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
I'm right now and don't want to mess with editing the pictures to upload them. I have to resize them to get them small enough to upload them. It's not a big deal, just not in the mood to do it now, lol.
