So I was making a payment yesterday for my Wife on one of her med accounts, the rep was in a foreign country.
I gave her the CC info, she asked me in these words: "When is your expiration date?"
I said "Well, that's a question a lot of us would like to know the answer to."
I know what she meant but couldn't resist. She got it & she apologized, I laughed & said no big deal.
I lucked out and only got some freezing rain and the rest sleet yesterday so no downed power lines had a low of 16° this morning and my water pipes never froze I put a temp prob under the house and the temp was 38° so the skirting I put 2 years ago has paid off no busted pipes the water pressure is very low from all the people having there faucets running which I did not do. We got some melting done yesterday which cleared most of the roads here and the sun is shining here with a forecast high of 31°. Texas did not fare well with the ice storm which bypassed me with a sleet storm.
Glad you dodged a bullet with the water pipes.
I imagine most of the places built down there aren't built with freezing temps in mind, so I would guess the water pipes are more prone to freezing.
I saw TX was getting it pretty bad, especially some of the single digit temps in some areas. Lot's of power outages down there.
Feb is sure making up for the mild winter. We have cloudy weather & it should get into the 40's today.
@Caledon Ken
A little more balmy here!!!
Good Morning Ken I have not avoided the power issues yet as there is a power shortage and I will experience rolling black outs.
SLEMCO to conduct rolling blackouts on Tuesday
Update it is a transmission line shortage as they are overloaded.
