Morning Borg. Hope you wore mask and gloves. Very scary times as we just don't know who is or isn't spreading. We also have a lot of selfish people who believe it won't impact them and they put us all at risk. Yesterday a couple invited me into their home, I said no. They said they trusted me, I said how can you I've just been with someone else.

Morning Mike. Saw your discussion on locking cars. We regularly have people going through cars for change, phones / whatever. The police place ads in the the local papers and on twitter to lock your cars. Every year it gets worst.

Afternoon Keith. See there is lots of noise about testing and contact tracing in the UK. It is like reading our news. Thousand of miles away, same issue.

See the big phone guys launched their API yesterday. I will wait a week for the iOS to settle then I will be investigating.

Yes if I lived in the big city, I would always lock my car .....but living where I do now, its not needed. There is a BIG difference depending on where you live.

Sure is Mike. We even have a problem in smaller towns around here. People leave a lot of stuff in car which people can readily sell / use.

Yepperz, had a mask on, so did everyone else. We're not under lock down anymore but you still need to wear a mask when going to any public place.

Oh yeah, we always lock the car. And I use the switch in the car.

Saw something online recently that said if you use the remote to lock your car, some people have a portable scanner that can read the code & duplicate it, so when you go in the store they can unlock your car & go through it.

    Isn't technology great?

When we moved here people were making comments about us always locking up the car. I told them you live in SoCali for a week & guaranteed you'll never leave it unlocked again.

My Wife used to work at a video store in a strip mall. One time a lady pulled up, parked right in front of the door, left the car running, got about 4 steps into the store when someone jumped in her car & took off.

The government have recruited 25,000 people to do track and trace but they are having a bit of trouble with the app so they are getting a kicking over that and why they didn't have 25,000 people sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting to be used in track and trace six weeks ago.

Well, it is a good idea....sort of. If you're privacy minded you have to wonder if they'll do with all the other data & if they will uninstall it completely when/if this ever ends. Although ti's not like they aren't already gathering enough info about you with your present set up.

    Bye Borg.

    Be safe.

All I want is for this to be over so if you need to track me for a while have at it. My cell is always with me so if they check pings off cell towers they know where I been with some accuracy.

Google and Apple have said you cannot connect location data to their API. That miffed German government but they held their ground. As I understand system the data will only be kept on my phone and the phones I get close enough to. If I get C-19 I enter something in my phone that alerts others. I don't even get to see who and if no central data base there is nothing for government to snoop.

We shall see. Lots of really smart hackers out there.
