Have anyone of you guys ever used the Windows RESET option before?? I am going to use this option to reset one of my spare pc's to set it back to defaults and remove all my personal apps and info, so I can give it to a friend. The question I have is will it remain licensed after doing this reset. Its been upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, long time ago..... and I want it to stay as a licensed copy of Windows 10 Pro.

That will do it! Yes, I have. Normally, I would choose "keep my files", and it dl's and installs a fresh copy of Win 10, and I re-install my apps. But you would choose "Keep nothing", and it would DL a fresh copy of Win 10 (what's there), blow everything away, and give you an OOBE box activated with your MS account. All you would need to do is set up your friend as another account, as an administrator, sign on as your friend's account, and blow away your account.

He could be an MS account, or Local, but must be a member of the Administrators Group.

Might be easier and cleaner and quicker to clean install as your friend. Set up an MS account for him first, so you'll have it.

Unless you wipe the drive some data will be still on the drive by using a sector reader you can see that data. SSD's can be wiped very easily, HHD's take time

Only a low level format will get rid of all data I do not know if you can even low level format a sata drive
