Be careful with it Nigel. There are issues reported with very slow performance particularly the USB subsystem. MR backups are taking twice as long.

My last nights backup performed as normal, Of course I use Aomei backupper Pro though it's over USB3 so all things seem fine here

Could be that they've fixed it - mine should not be anything with any outstanding major faults although I have been advanced to a subset of RP users who get's things a bit sooner than the majority or RP users apparently

So, should I change 18363 Production to RP, Barman?

I've only used it for 24 hours or so , so far so good,

If you are offered it from Microsoft, I would do a full backup and go ahead, if it's not offered i would wait until it is.

If you are not on the Release Preview Ring there is likely to be a delay of a few weeks after sign-up, which is usually about the same delay from me getting the release and the general release

I'm doing a full backup every Monday and differentials the rest of the week, so that should be taken care of.

I didn't mean the RP you're on . . . ya gotta earn that, and I haven't been on RP since the last feature update. So, I'm really just wanting to get onto the RP so I'll have a little heads up before 19041 is offered to the general public. Can help my Senior Citizen students if they get into trouble.

The release preview should be the best for you, to get you ready for your Seniors questions and worries that arrive with each spring update. I started on the general Release Preview back when it was started, I just don't have the time to run a true Beta copy like the Fast and Slow ring - I was running 10 on a production system for a while before it was initially released, but not like Windows 7 which I ran on all production systems over a year before release.

The release preview should always, by the time it's released to the regular Release Preview members, be totally safe and is realy just there for administrators to familiarize themselves with before it's rolled out to their users or students

I was in the slow ring for a short time but then got a bit nervous as I didn't want to be without this laptop while trying to sort out any trouble I got into.

    Version, 2004
    Installed on, 12/12/19
    OS Build, 19041.208

Thanks, Barman. I opted into the RP, waited about 30 minutes and there it was, waiting for me to install. I'm now on Build 19041.207. Everything seems pretty much the same so far.
