    Good Morning Borg

    Morning Beeman & Buzzy.

We have a bunch of Bumblebees that like to visit the flowering plants around the house. Been going on for a couple years now, they must have a nest in the area. My Wife is a bit scared of them. I told her, you don't bother them, they won't bother you, they're like honeybees, only bigger. I've had a couple land on me to clean themselves when I get near the wildflowers out back, never stung me or gave me any trouble

Morning Ken, Josey, Mike, Andre, Bob, Keith, Paul, Dr., and beeman! Nice and cooler, 66°, less humidity, and all the windows and sliders are open! Cats love it. Sys does, too!

If we ever get a yard, it'll either be artificial grass, grass engineered not to grow tall, or Astroturf.
You can also use crushed rock like they do in AZ can come in different colors.

Yeah, that would be a good alternative, easy peasy to care for and you can spray vegetation killer without worry.

Beeman can correct me, but I was always told honeybees loose their stinger and die when they getcha, bumblebees don't. They also defy physics and aerodynamics!

I think it's the same thing for Bumblebees, being they are a bee, they probably loose their stinger. Wasps on the other hand, can sting multiples times, & unfortunately, I've seen that 1st hand when I stepped into a Yellow Jacket nest on the hillside. Had one in my shoe that stung me several times.
