    BSOD/bad system config info (win10)

Hi! I would love to include a log, but I only have access to the command prompt. If someone knows how to include the log from there, I will do it immediately.

I can not get past the automatic repair screen. I can't boot in safe mode, I can't revert the new windows update (which seemed to cause this mess), I can't reset the computer (neither keeping files or removing everything).

I have changed the CMOS battery which was at a measly 2.7 volts. Still can't access or do barely anything. I have pulled out all unnecessary cables and equipment.

The DISM commands don't work. From sfc /scannow I get the message "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation" (I assume because it does not launch as admin for the automatic repair screen). I have cleaned the PC, and all the cables are tight. The only thing I haven't tried is booting windows from a USB stick and stuff like that.

The computer has been unused for about a year, and just a few days ago I started it up again. Everything seemed fine. Two days after I had started it after this period, I left it to update some games, and I when I came back, it had crashed and sent me to the Bios.

    Looking for help :') Thanks❤️

    My specs are:
    Intel Core i7-6700 Skylake 4ghz
Asus Geforce GTX 1070 Rog Strix
    Asus Rog Maximus VIII Ranger
    2x HyperX Fury DDR4 2133Mhz 16GB
    Corsair RM850x (850w) PSU
NZXT Kraken x61 CPU water cooler

    Hi,
I can't revert the new windows update
    - to which update are you referring? (I can only hope you have an idea of what update or updates were applied).

You can uninstall //remove an update in two possible ways in your situation.

    a. If you have a suitable System Restore point, you can boot to Advanced Startup options (press power button 3 x in succession) - or by booting from a Win 10 install disk and via 'Repair your computer' to Advanced Startup options, and so to a System Restore prompt (tutorials available).

You would need to know the password.

    b. See:
How to Uninstall a Windows Update Offline via Windows RE >> Winhelponline

You would need a Win 10 install disk and boot your PC from that.

Do you know how to boot that PC from a bootable disk? If unsure, Google can help.

In your situation I would also want to check your disk (s) - no specs on these that I can see.
I would probably use a live boot disk (Google if unfamiliar) and boot the PC from that and then run a disk check program e.g. Crystal Diskinfo.

So as I wrote, nothing from the advanced startup options work. I have no restore point either. What would be the procedure after windows is booted from another drive? I would like to be able to use my computer without having to deleted everything and start fresh. Thank you for the quick response!

As I wrote, you should be able to boot from a Win 10 install disk and hence to Advanced Startup options.

As I wrote- no (basic) specs on your disks.

As for the procedure- please see the searchable Tutorials section...
Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10
    - Options 5 or 6 in your case.

    - and it's there in the link I posted under (b).

I would like to be able to use my computer without having to deleted everything and start fresh.
This is why the routine and regular use of 3rd party disk imaging (e.g. Macrium Reflect, Aomei Backupper, Hasleo Backup - free or padi versions) is endlessly recommended here - so when bad things happen from ransomware to theft, a stupid mistake to disk failure - you can recover to a previous good state- and have a full backup.

    System Restore complements that.

    I guess you have neither...
