BSOD within 2 minutes of load

My desktop started blue screening last week, was only doing it once a day or so, I figured I would get to it later.... Go forward to last night and it BSOD, and I rebooted and BSOD again within about 2 minutes of windows load. I went into safe mode, same thing.

I ran chkdsk last night, it ran 4 hours, and upon reboot same thing, I pulled out all but one stick of ram, BSOD, I traded the ram stick BSOD. I went into Windows recovery and tired to roll back the image, and it told me it could not access the file, and try another point...

At this point I am not sure what my next step should be, I can get into DOS and grab the dump file, but I cannot get into the GUI to do anything at all at this point, was looking for some pro help here to avoid reformating...

    Cheers all!

What are the BSOD error messages? You can use this software Blue Screen Viewer to get an idea of where to start looking.

    Its this one

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

That software really doesnt help me, at least on the desktop as its to unstable to do anything with it unless i can grab the dump file. ShouldI drop down into dos and try to save it to the USB stick?

I went into dos and downloaded the MEMORY.dmp file, its about 2.8 gigs.... I put WinCrashReport on my windows desktop and dropped the file into the folder. I am not having any luck opening the file with the program, any suggestions?

That program doesn't open anything. It's just a log reader that is simplified so users can try tu understand the error message and error code. Then with that information start doing your own research for answers. As I said, a starting point of where/what to look for.

I'm not savvy with this forum policy is on forum referrals. You might want to try Sysnative.com. as there are quite a few excellent BSOD analyst over there.

Looks like im heading there, cheers for the suggestion....

This program doesn't help if you cannot open a file on the computer... On my laptop I putt the file in my Windows 7 windows folder and it still isnt reading it when placed in that folder though....

Why are you referring someone to Sysnative for a BSOD problem? We have good people here and we have our own data collection tool.

Look at the top of the BSOD forum or th top of any thread and you see what you need to do for a BSOD problem. The key is this:

Before posting a BSOD thread, please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

Edit: Just noticed you can't boot into Windows so if you can zip the minidump files (*.dmp) in C:\Widows\minidump folder and upload to a file sharing site loke Onedrive or Google Drive and post a link to the uploaded zip file I'll take a look and see what I can find.

When you get the BSOD, is there anything on the blue screen itself that indicates what is causing the problem, like a driver name?
Can you take a picture of it before it disappears and post here please?

Ok so I was stupid and used to Windows 7. I figured out how to get into safe mode, and everything actually works here. I also disabled all the non window services from starting, booted normal and that seemed to have made it more stable. So that being said I was able to get run log collector on the PC and this is the link

    Log Collector.zip - Google Drive

I also ran the BlueScreenviewer and its showing what appears to be this process...

    ntoskrnl.exe

I have ran a long running memory diagnostics and the RAM does check out as good, so I guess im kinda in a pause mode b/c im not entirely sure what this service even does.

You have a bunch of non-functional devices. You might want to look into getting drivers loaded for them or disabling the devices.

    Attachment 308612

The 11:29 2:12AM dump is trashed.
    The 11:29 5:10AM dump shows a problem with nvlddmkm.sys.
    Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
This is a Driver Verifier generated dump but it did not identify the failing driver.

This is part of the driver for your NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, Ver 451.67 dated 7/4/2020.

Nvidia has a newer one available: Ver 457.30 dated 2020.11.9

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

Get the latest driver for your Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads
Completely uninstall the current Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile here: Official Download Here.
    Do this in Safe Mode.

Then do a custom install of only the Nvidia Graphics and PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

Also, your BIOS Release Date is 06/14/2019.
There are quite a few updates since then. The latest was released

    Version 7B93v1B1(Beta version)
    Release Date 2020-11-16

    The latest non-Beta is

    Version 7B93v1A
    Release Date 2020-11-04

I suggest you update to the latest non-Beta version.

So I have tried to remove all the NVIDA stuff, I am having trouble removing the control panel though. What I am getting now isnt a BSOD but the computer totally locks on me after about 5 to 10 minutes when I do a normal boot. Safe mode works fine at least...

I have yet tried to reinstall the nvidia drivers as of now though, am wanting to remove the nvidia control panel first...

    Thoughts?
