BSOD (Green) when I updated to build 19603 (DPC Watchdog Violation).

I have since reverted back to the previous build. Will the logs requested get you the information even though I have downgraded. Sorry for the bother. Been a long while since I was last here. Windows Pro Insider Preview now build 19592.

For BSOD when using WIndows insider please use Windows insider feedback hub.

    Code:
     Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview 64-bit (10.0, Build 19592) (19592.rs_prerelease.200321-1719)

Run HD Tune (free version) (all drives)
    HD Tune website
Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    Run Sea Tools for Windows
    long generic test
Post an image of the test result into the thread
    SeaTools for Windows |
    Seagate

How to use SeaTools for Windows | Seagate Support US

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /r /v
This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer.
Copy and paste into notepad > save to desktop > post into the thread using one drive or drop box share link:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials

OK, should I go there now and post these results there or should I post the results of these scans here?

Normally we refer all insiders to the insiders feedback hub.

In the logs there were many entries related to drives.

    So check hardware first.

If there are problems > replace drive > reinstall Windows
If there are no problems > report insiders feedback hub

There are only two drives in the machine. Two solid state drives. There is one external WD my cloud. There was a seagate that went bad a few days ago. It died while printing.

    - - - Updated - - -

What is odd to me is that the two solid state drives work fine ( take files, play files) with one Windows build but not with another.

    2. I will OF COURSE stand corrected , but I thought that the FREE version of HD Tune, as against the free trial 15 days I think of the Pro version, was not entirely suitable for Windows 10. I appreciate the Dell XPS8100 is an old system and NOT really IMHO entirely suitable for the Windows Insider preview 19592/19603

    3. However the file system is still a Windows 10 file system and it is my understanding that the FREE edition dating I think
from 2008 will not read SMART data, it will only carry out a low level benchmark, not a file benchmark and I think the far better HDTune test the mentioned free trial of the Pro version.
Which does cater for the Windows 10 file system. (That aspect of course being only relevant to the OS drive.

    4. That together with Seatools for Windows long generic and a Chkdsk /r /v in which each file name is written to the results
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.
RUN ON ALL drives, as presumably were HD and Seatools is IMHO perhaps not the right approach in this instance.

5.. I am aware of circumstances where it may be a good idea, but I have looked at many the logs and I cannot see any problems suggesting the need for such extensive checks on ALL drives..

In fact apart from some entries regarding USB flash drives, not being recognised, which I think may be due to them still being seen by the system, but not connected, the logs as far as I see actually report that the two SSD drives have been checked for errors and all was found in order.

6.. There can of course be problems with drives on Windows 10 like on any other OS, but 10 is reasonably good at correcting file errors automatically and notifying the user if it has found errors that could not be fixed, whilst on self check.

I do not yet, as I have not had time to read ALL your logs, know the cause of the problem.
However as a starting block I think you should uninstall
FreemakeUtilsService.exe or what ever aspect of freemake you have
it is I think a video convertor and if I have read that aspect of the logs correctly, it appears to be causing problems.
Freemake Support | Get Free Technical Assistance
    on that link
    What is FreemakeUtilsService for?

    8. Finally there is no nice way to tell you that your system, good as it was in its day, is old. The CPU is
    Intel(R) Core™ i7-860 Processor (8M Cache, 2.80 GHz) Product Specifications

2009 vintage as is other direct aspects of the motherboard.
In short, I do not think it is really suitable for the latest Insider builds, OR indeed really for 10 as a whole, at least not to gain the benefits of the OS in full.
I do not know if the board has UEFI I have not looked but you have it in legacy BIOS mode., if it does.
I thought that board had a max ram of 16GB. You appear to have
2 sticks of 8GB each and
    2 sticks of 2GB each.

A search of the logs show that many of your drivers are really dated.

Best wishes with it - I doubt you will get it to run correctly.

Stay safe in this current crisis.
