Page Fault in Non Paged Area

I have recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 ver 1909. I did the upgrade keeping all Apps and Files in place.

Whenever I start the PC after doing a hard shutdown (using Alt F4) the computer gives a BSOD during bootup with the Stop Code: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, What failed: fowp64.sys

    Attachment 265938

The PC restarts and seems to work normally as far as I can see, apart from a problem finding a printer which is connected to my router. When it restarts it shows the date in US format, although my regional settings are for UK.

I would be grateful for help in diagnosing this. I attach the zipfile generated by the V2 Log Collector app.

The driver highlighted in the BSOD is from the FileOpen software plugin

Try uninstalling this software to see if it makes a difference. FileOpen: Client Removal Instructions

    Hi simonc8,

Welcome to the TF BSOD forum.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7
    9) wmic recoveros get autoreboot
    10) wmic recoveros get DebugInfoType
    11) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    12) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    13) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting

    14) Uninstall and reinstall:
    FileOpen Client (x64) 3.0.83.920

    Code:
fowp64.sys	File Open software driver	http://plugin.fileopen.com/all.aspx

A million thanks, philc43. I have uninstalled FileOpen.api and it finally restarted without the BSOD.

zbook - I am running the diagnostics now. "I may be some time..."

    The results were good.

Both dump files displayed the same misbehaving driver.

In case there are any BSOD after replacing the two software you can upload a new V2.

    Make a new restore point:
Create System Restore Point in Windows 10

If not already making them consider making backup images:
Macrium Software | Your Image is Everything
Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect
