    video+sound sync problems (and more)

I have not had any BSODs on my system but I am experiencing a range of problems that I cannot find the cause of.

    Symptoms:
The first time I turn on the computer & login, if I play any videos, the sound & video fall out of sync. This is consistent. What is strange is clicking Restart & restarting the computer without a power down, resolves the issue. This is also consistent. If my monitors go to sleep, this problem also sometimes happens after I wake them up.

I cannot let my system go to sleep. Doing so causes it not to be able to wake up causing me to have to do a hard reboot from the power button.

Occasionally I have seen videos freeze and catch up. It is only for a very brief moment, but it is noticeable. Recently this has expanded to a video's picture freezing, then about 5 seconds later the sound dropping out. If it is a video in a browser, a refresh of the browser returns everything to normal. Also of this nature, sometimes I have had the entire system come to a frozen halt when playing a video - when this happens I have to do a hard reboot from the power button.

My webcam cannot pick up audio from the mic anymore. I tested the webcam on a separate system & it worked fine. I tested a second webcam on my system & found the same problem.

Sometimes while typing, the system sort of lags up where the text will suddenly be entered on the screen very slowly vs the speed I am typing then dragging out one letter like "theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" when it catches back up.

Windows starting up after I login recently has also had the occasional long drawn out start times with something getting caught during the start up & pretty much dragging the system to a crawl.

Sometimes when shutting down, I do see a Windows error. I am not sure if it is always the same error. It is up very briefly. I managed to snap a photo of it once. This is what it said.
The instruction at 0x00007FFD8DFD67F8 referenced memory at 0x00007FFD26343E68. The memory could not be read.

    Things I have tried:
As mentioned above, I initially thought the problem with the audio input on the mic was from the webcam itself. However my tests showed otherwise. I put the webcam on a separate system & it worked fine. I put a separate webcam on this system & it failed to pick up audio. I double & triple checked the audio input was assigned to it properly with both cameras. It used to work on my webcam, then just suddenly stopped.

Because so many of the issues I was seeing were related to video issues, I tried swapping the video card out for a separate card. All of the above problems occurred with the other card too.

I have updated all of my drivers & the motherboard bios. None of these have resolved the problems. My current suspicion is the issue is my motherboard itself, but I am not sure how I would even check that without dismantling my computer. I am hoping someone here can help me suss out the problem before I have to go to such an extreme action.

My Beta Log report is attached to the post. I can provide any other relevant information that could be needed that it does not provide.

Thank you in advanced whomever can help me here.Attachment 232377

[QUOTE=genericandy;1625441]I have not had any BSODs on my system but I am experiencing a range of problems that I cannot find the cause of.

    This forum is for BSOD.
    The logs displayed a BSOD.
    The BSOD will be troubleshooted.
The computer will be tuned up.
Remaining problems can be troubleshooted in other forum rooms.

For all steps / tests post images into the thread.
If there are any problems then post share links into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

    Perform the following steps:

    1) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    2) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    3) sfc /scannow
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) chkdsk /scan
    6) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    7) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    8) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.

    7) Sometimes there are problems in the bios that produce BSOD.

I am working through these notes. Thanks for the correction on the non-BSOD. I will direct those issues there. Hopefully some of what you suggest will help with them.

14 - there was no link.

15 - it is turned off now.

    ----

Overall, I saw some improvements of the nonBSOD issues. Video & audio are syncing now without the extra work. I found the cause for the mic - it was unrelated to anything technical, but rather was MS disabled the mic with an update patch.

I am noticing Windows freezing up a bit still after startup, but it is vastly better than it was.

These are links on windows driver verifier:

Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10 | Tutorials

Driver Verifier-- tracking down a mis-behaving driver. - Microsoft Community

The tool will be run for approximately 48 hours.
After the last BSOD it will be run for an additional 36 hours of typical computer use.

After each BSOD you will use the computer's windows advanced troubleshooting menu to turn off or recover from using the tool.
Then run the BETA log collector and upload the results into the thread.
And open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\windows\memory.dmp > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a share link into thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

While using the tool the computer may become sluggish or the boots may become slow.

If there are no problems the number of simultaneous customized tests will be increased.
The Ten Forums link has 3 simultaneous customized tests.
The Microsoft link has 19 simultaneous customized tests.

Once you are comfortable with the windows advanced troubleshooting commands you can turn on the tool.

Drivers can be uninstalled after each BSOD and replaced once there are no longer any BSOD. Alternatively the drivers can be reinstalled immediately after they are uninstalled. The end result should be the same.
