I see you're getting a duplicate key error resulting from different case of the same word ("amazon" vs "Amazon"). I saw this a long time ago and fixed it (or so I thought). Are you running the latest version of the script? I kind of wonder because you posted here rather than opening an issue on the GitHub page.

    Download the latest from here:

IEModeExpiryFix | Set IE Mode pages to expire far in the future

If it still errors out, try the VBScript version. It works via search and replace, so it's not susceptible to duplicate key issues.

And if the PowerShell version does still error out, let me know and I'll work with you to fix it. All I would need is a copy of your Edge profile so I can replicate the issue.
    No go.
It still errors out with the most recent version.
I prefer to use the PowerShell version.
I resist messing around with BitDefender's settings.

If you can send me your Edge Preferences file, I can see if I can replicate and fix the issue.

You can find that file by typing this command in Edge's address bar:

    edge://version

That will display, among other things, the profile path. It will look something like this (note that it may be wrapped to two lines):

    C:\Users\dlwmacgregor\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default

Within that folder, you will find a Preferences file. That's your current profile and the file I would need.

I resist messing around with BitDefender's settings.
You shouldn't have to change the protection settings. It should be possible to select the file from the quarantined items and allow that specific script. I don't use BitDefender, so I can't provide specific steps, but all AV programs have whitelisting capability.

If none of the above works for you, there's still the option of using LaunchIE. Did you try that?

You may need to zip the file and then upload it to a cloud site if it's too big for tenforums.

Only certain file types are accepted by sites.

It just needs to be zipped. No need to use any other site. You can also zip and email it to me. You can find my email in the WinSetView manual.

    Did you try LaunchIE?

Large files could be shared via a file sharing service. If you you don't have an account with one of those you could use this and post the link to the zipped file here:

Yup. I like Wormhole. There are many to choose from. But an Edge Preferences file should not be not large. Mine zips down to 100K.

@dlwmacgregor I'd still really like to get your Preferences files so I can debug the script. Thanks!
