    Microsoft Mail app - backup/restore


    One W11 laptop uses MS Mail and not MS Outlook for e-mails because the version of MS Office does not include MS Outlook.
    How can I backup and restore the MS Mail e-mails sent/received?
    And, if I install a version of MS Office that includes MS Outlook, will I still be able to see the MS Mail e-mails? If not, is it possible to move/copy these e-mails into MS Outlook?

    Outlook is now free. You will only see the emails if they are kept on your email server that you use keeps them there.

    What sort of email account(s) - domain based (like xxxx@isp.com) or web based (Gmail, outlook.com et al) ?

    What type - IMAP or POP ?

    MS Mail is a basic program and does not support any form of backup or easy means of bulk exporting settings and mail.

    Use a free 3rd party mail program.
