Firefox download history shows virus file and....

....will not allow me to erase it from download history. Every time i open firefox the little window that shows what you downloaded shows a file called Appfile_qqasdc.exe and reports it as a virus. But if i right click it and choose to erase it, after i close all browser windows then open FF again it pops up again Restarting the PC does no good, can't find the file on my PC, regeidt can't find it, and malwarebyte doesn't show it in a scan. I even googled the file and no results with that name. Any ideas?

Oh boy..i did a system restore because i tried removing the history in settings instead of right clicking it ad the broswer stiopped working. So i did a sys restore from days before this happened and every thing was then fixed EXCEPT the file still shows in the history popup window when i open the browser ! WTH?

Have you tried 'Clear Downloads' at the top of the FF History dropdown?

SR doesn't revert everything. In particular as you presumably know it doesn't affect typical user files. Only certain file types a re monitored by SR- list available via one of the Tutorials.

Rt click it, click Show in Folder. See what you can learn. etc..

A screenshot of that would help avoid misunderstandings.

Hover over the red ! icon or click on it if necessary.
I expect it to tell you that it refused to download that file.
