    63 tabs is a lot.

I think you're going to have to close a bunch off.

Before closing some tabs, save their links in your bookmarks.
I DID close most of them off. I think the problem has something to do with memory - but I don't know how to fix it. I don't want to lose any of the tabs I have left.

Yea, I'm also thinking it's memory as well. If you really want a reliable method of adding more memory to your computer, you're going to have to add physical Memory RAM sticks to the computer. For example, I have 24 GB of RAM in my computer. That's a good number to have, assuming you want to open about 60 or so tabs in Chrome at the same time. You can find tutorial videos on how to add RAM sticks to your computer, or better yet ask in the forums here on assistance on how to do that.

BUT ALSO! You can try adding "virtual" memory (which is 'artificial' memory that gets stored on your SSD, making it act as a memory RAM stick, as well). Brink has great tutorials on how you can enable that. So you can try this method first, and see if it works well:

In Chrome, open an Incognito window (3 dots -> New Incognito window), and try to load a video on YouTube. Does it work?

(since a YouTube video works in Edge but not Chrome lead me to the initial assumption that there may be some add-on or extension in Chrome that may be interfering. An Incognito Window, I believe, prevents from any 3rd party "addition" to load with Chrome)
I tried incognito and Youtube played with video. So, I turned off all my extensions and tried Youtube again. It still won't show the video - only the sound. What should I try next please?

I would assume you'd probably need to Uninstall and Reinstall Google Chrome. I am not sure if it will keep all your settings/bookmarks/etc during the process though.

Before that, you can try pressing the three dots in the top right corner, press settings, then:

May fix the problem.. not sure.

Reset Google Chrome to default settings ?

    Any flags set ?

Try uninstalling (use Revouninstaller (freeware) with full facilities) and re-install

Most Youtube videos won't display (second post - many more details in

I used to have well over 100 tabs open when this happened. I use a tab manager so I'm not sure all tabs are active at the same time - I think not. I reduced the number of tabs to about 50 which is a number I've kept for many years - no problems with Chrome. Then I tried all the suggested fixes which didn't work. It's strange that a few videos still work all the time - but any new videos don't work. I think I'm down to reinstalling Youtube after I completely uninstall the current version. I will lose some things - but the things I absolutely don't want to lose are my tabs. I'd rather not reinstall Chrome if anyone can help me fix the problem. BTW, all the videos that don't work in Chrome will work in Edge. If I have to reinstall Chrome, how do I somehow keep my 50 tabs? Thank you.........
