    Try process explorer Process Explorer - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs and the target icon over it for info. You could also try removing in safe mode.

    Launched into safe mode and tried to locate the process however I couldn't find anything that looked suspicious

    Is the icon shown if you look in File explorer instead of at the Desktop background on your screen?
    C:\Users\%UserName%\Desktop {or elsewhere if you have deliberately relocated it}
    C:\Users\Public\Desktop

    unfortunately no, however I've decided to just do it the simple way and reset my pc which solved the issue, I do appreciate all the help though!

    Just bear in mind that it will remove all apps and drivers you have installed yourself, that includes Microsoft apps like Office.
