    Firefox and pictures/videos

For a while I'm having problems with displaying of pictures and some videos. For pictures at some sites (a lot of them) instead of a picture I see only it's placeholder, sometimes just a grey background or nothing. Video problems manifest mostly as black screen with circle as it's loading but that can go forever. At other times/sites all is fine.
If I copy link to another browser (new Edge lately) all is fine.
This is beginning to irritate me so bad that I'm considering abandoning FF i favor of some other browser after all those years as primary browser.

Hi I agree about a possible replacement of FF but for other reasons.

Do you see the same if you use FF's Safe Mode? I find sometimes I need to disable a particular ad blocker on certain sites.

Haven't tried safe mode (how?) but did with all Add-ons disabled, no luck (there's only 3).

    - but if only 3 add-ons and they were disabled, may make no difference. But it's the first basic check..

Do you have an example site/screenshot?

I have experienced similar things: Some headlines (text) on my favourite news site are not displayed in FF but does in my two other browsers (Chrome and Edge). I have also had instances of not being able to access some sites or log in is not working etc. (where it used to work) but only in FF . I have been using FF as my primary browser for many years and I too agree that FF has lately become more and more of an irritation...

Might be interesting to try a (free) VPN.. but then Edge is ok..

I didn't see any issues with the link in #6 on a 13" Notebook. I don't always run Firefox and most other programs in Maximized view so I tried it maxed and looked good. I even viewed it in Full Screen and no issues.
