    Google Chrome delay problem

I use MS Office Outlook email client. I receive an email from Amazon which has a hyperlink of the order number. When I click on the link, Google Chrome opens but then remains blank for up to 1 minute. The "this page isn't working" message then appears but 1 second later, the Amazon page appears.
If I keep Chrome open and then click another Amazon link, the new page appears in a new tab instantly.
If I close Chrome and then repeat clicking on a link, the 1 minute delay is back again.

It seems, this is only happening with Amazon links. I changed default browser to Edge and the same problem happens.

Also, if I open Chrome or Edge and then copy and paste the hyperlink into the address bar, no problem, the Amazon page opens instantly. This problem seems to be related to clicking on the link.

I have tried clearing cookies and history but still this problem continues. Any ideas anyone?

Not sure, seems to be an issue with the Amazon link/website. I have infrequently enountered the issue on some websites, not often, but it does happen.

To satisify curiosity, may want to temporarily try another email client, computer, or mobile device.

Just confirmed this is not just Amazon links. This is only happening on my PC. Mobile and laptop are ok. I also have Office Outlook on laptop so it's not that either.

Update: I was trying to add a post to a Facebook page I run, but every time I dragged photos into the post, it greyed out. I logged in to my page through Edge and tried again, and all was perfect. It seems my next step is to reinstall Chrome. Is there a specific way to do this to ensure all caches and history, or whatever is causing problems, are removed?
