    Microsoft Edge Question

I use Microsoft Edge Browser to set up a shortcut on my desktop to my library.

When I Log In to the library, I check the box to “Remember me on this device.”

However, when doing that, I entered an incorrect User Name. So now when I Log In, that incorrect User Name pops up in the Look-In box. See screenshot.

I contacted the library and this is what they said:

    “Hello again,

I'm glad you are no longer having a log in issue. Have a look at your browser settings to clear the errant username. It should be under something about forms or saved form data.”

    Thank you,
    Marianne

I have checked my browser settings for a link that would clear my Username entries, but all I can find are links to clear passwords, addresses, etc.

Is it possible to clear a User Name from appearing in the Look-In box?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

I think you MAY be confused between saving passwords and form data on EDGE and clicking "Remember me on this device"
    on a website.
If you do the latter, then the website places a cookie on your computer files to do so.
If that is the case it under Edge settings, cookies and site data
    then
See all cookies and site data

That is separate from Edge saving passwords, where it is Edge that asks do you wish to save your passwords - which I think you have already found under settings and profiles

    Hello -

Thanks for the return. Using Microsoft Edge there is more than one option to reset settings. It turns out I didn't choose the correct option. I finally found the option that did work, so all is good now.

    Regards,

    Cheers
You did not need to reset all - if you had gone as I said
    Settings
cookies and site permission on left pane
cookies and site data on main window
    open that
see all cookies and site data
you could have deleted the one that applied

However pleased you have sorted it
