GMail passport changed -- how do I reset Win 10 Mail App so it adapts?

I needed to change my GMail password. Now the Win 10 Mail app does not see my incoming emails. The Mail app warns that my Gmail Password has changed. How do I reset the Mail app so that it works properly again?

If you right click on the Gmail account does it give you any settings option?
Once under the account settings there should be an option to change the account settings like password.

I have changed my GMail Password already, succesfully. That is not my problem. The problem is that the Mail App supplied with Windows 10 used to process (send, receive) my GMail emails without any problems when I still used the old GMail Password. Now, with a new Password chosen, the Windows 10 Mail App does not process (send, receive) my GMail emails. How do I fix this problem?

Do you use 2-step authentication on your Google account?

Have you tried removing the Gmail account from the mail app, shut the app down, reboot, open mail app and add the Gamil account. Do you use the link inboxes?

Whilst I do not use the Mail app myself, the TenForumsTutorial does contain an illustration that indicates where to go to change the account password.

Thanks very much, I'll see if there are other suggestions tonight (in my timezone) and follow the advice tomorrow. Does somebody perhaps know how to remove a GMail account from the Mail App?

The problem turned out very easy to fix. You simply open the Windows 10 Mail App, click on Accounts, select the relevant account (a gmail address in my case), and proceed to replace the old password with the new password. Your gmail emails will come streaming into the Mail App as before. Thanks for the kind suggestions!

How and where did you change the password?
When i go into my account settings (also G-mail) i only get two options:
    a) change sync settings (nothing about changing password in here), and
    b) delete account
